House fire under investigation in RP

A house fire in Rocky Point that brought firefighters from three area fire departments to respond at 11 a.m. last Saturday is under investigation by the Town of Brookhaven Fire Marshall, according to Rocky Point Chief Tom Logan.
Rocky Point responded to 5 James Street in Rocky Point and received mutual aid from Sound Beach and Wading River Fire Departments. LIPA was called to the scene to disconnect power to the house, Logan said. The fire, extinguished within thirty-minutes began in a bedroom on the second floor of the two story house leaving the “second floor a complete loss,” Logan noted.
No injuries were reported.
